Ultra
Violet Sterilisation
The
disinfections unit consists of a stainless steel or uPVC
cylinder with an inner quartz sleeve, which contains a germicidal
lamp. Water passes through the cylinder and is subjected
to the ultraviolet light, which shines through the internal
sleeve. Ultraviolet light is one of the safest ways to disinfect
water because it does not impart any chemicals into the
water and therefore cannot be overdosed. UV disinfections
units are rated according to the quality of the water (transparency),
flow rate and level of bacterial kill.
Chenpump
hold in stock units for domestic water treatment to handle
a single tap through to units capable of disinfections of
a large house supply, together with the relevant spares
and consumables required for yearly servicing.
When
using an ultraviolet system it is important to control the
size of any particle debris that may be held in suspension.
We do this using one of our range of Debris filter housings,
please refer to our debris filter link for details.
We
are happy to offer quotations for the supply and installation
of single lamp domestic under sink units or multi lamp industrial
sterilisers with all relative debris pre-filters. Please
phone for further details.
