Chenpump, however, appreciate that to a certain extent we are dealing with elements outside human control. This is why we recommend that our customers have their water tested every year to monitor any change in their water conditions. In our experience, just because the water appears clear in a glass does not mean that the water is not hazardous to health. It should also be noted that a water test undertaken by a council or public health department is usually only concerned with risks to health and not the damage that some contaminates do to the pipe work and fittings. Iron, for example, will block pipes and clog combination boilers and stain bathroom suites. Acidic water (pH) will corrode immersion tanks, discolour sink chrome wear and sometimes turn dyed hair green.
